About Us

My love affair of Maine Coon cats began with the addition of a fluffy kitten in the summer of 2009. Max was not purebred, but he grew very large and looked like he was. It was Max that started me on this journey and investigation into the breed. We acquired our very first CFA registered Maine Coon female in 2012.

Animals have been in my life from my the time I was a baby. Compassion and love for animals was passed on to me from my mother. My siblings and I still joke that our mom cared more about animals than her own children. When we were growing up we had dogs, cats, horses, cows, and anything my brothers could bring home to rehabilitate and have as pets. One of my fondest memories was of my mom raising and breeding A.K.C. Cocker Spaniels. The puppies were a great joy and the experience taught me the foundation of animal husbandry.

My husband grew up with animals throughout his childhood as well. They had a horse, dogs, cats, pigeons and sheep. He and his father bred and raised Suffolk sheep, which he exhibited in 4H for many years.

From 1991 to 2012 we had the pleasure of owning and breeding some of the most beautiful Arabian horses. Countless hours and years went into researching ancestors, conformation, pedigrees and ultimately the stallions we chose for the mares in our breeding program. It was a much anticipated event and a great privilege to assist our mares in foaling. There are no words to describe the emotions and sometimes the sorrow we experienced over the years with breeding Arabians.

As we enter the next chapter of our lives we are very excited to be involved with the Maine Coon breed. Everyone here including myself, my husband, and our two daughters plays a role with the daily interaction and care of our cats. Educating myself about the breed is ongoing as I network within the cat fancy. Although we have only been able to exhibit our cats on a limited basis in TICA’s Northwest region, we hope to increase our show presence in the near future.

Our main goal is to raise healthy, sweet, beautiful Maine Coons and we hope to share the same joy with other people our cats have brought to us. I can’t imagine life without these special cats and their big personalities!
